As of 2021, the Albanian government has incorporated measures to combat child marriage into its national policy framework. This includes the National Agenda on the Rights of the Child 2021-2026 and a deinstitutionalization plan (2021-2023) aimed at developing alternative childcare services. Despite these efforts, enforcement of family and alternative care laws remains a challenge, requiring further attention to address violations of children's rights.
